The 30th Anniversary of the Garden was celebrated from May 7, beginning with the Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting in the new Boos Labyrinth Courtyard, and continued through May 16, wrapping up with entertainment from the ukulele band 'The Good Time Strummers'.
The ten day event included plant sales and gift basket raffles fundraising activities, and we raised just under $2,000 for Garden improvements and operation. We had three new members join, and our resident Master Gardener answered questions from our visitors.
Some of our very talented members conducted workshops, coordinated with environmental specialists for presentations, and shared their insights in art the Garden. Thank you to Brenda and Ben Bjahanbani, Poem Brasga, Judy Ewert, Roger and Nancy Fitness, Linda Freeman, Ray Jacques, Margaret Meyncke, Florence Rafulowitz, Ann Schryer, Jill Selders, Judy Sundermann, Kathy Trudeau, Diane Vaccaro, Byron Webb, Rebecca Weersing, and Monique Wright. This could not have happened without a great team effort.

Visitors to Rose Haven Garden have a new shady spot to sit and enjoy the sounds of the waterfall while taking in views of the roses and Boos Family Courtyard. The hexagon shaped bench is made of recycled plastic from milk jugs and was donated by the Trudeau – Webb family celebrating the Garden's 30th anniversary. As a further spruce‑up the cork tree was recently trimmed.
Construction of the labyrinth (Boos Family Courtyard) is complete, and the Education Pavillion has a new concrete floor.
