Division V : Youth Rules
1. Entries by age/grade category:
• Rosebuds –age 3 to pre-k
• First Blooms - k to 2nd
• Ramblers - 3rd to 5th
• Arrangers - 6th to 8th
• Showstoppers - 9th to 12th
2. Section A - A potato planted in a pot; an iris planted in a pot; a mini rose planted in a decorated pot.
3. Section B - Any rose bloom in a vase. Degree of grooming should be consistent with class (e.g., Rosebuds will need substantial assistance with grooming; Showstoppers should require least assistance). Variety names are desirable for entries in Rosebuds, First Blooms, and Ramblers; they are required for entries in Arrangers and Showstoppers.
4. Section C - Original art work of roses and other flowers. Size not to exceed 11” x 17”.
5. Section D - Original photography of roses or rose gardens. Size not to exceed 8” x 10”.
6. Section E - Original poem or short story about roses, gardens or gardening.
7. Entries will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3. Entry tags will be provided.
8. Participation awards will be presented in all classes.
9. Awards Ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 4.
10. All entries need to be picked up by 4:30 p.m. at close of show on Sunday, May 4.
